【Fertilization Management】
Mostly, eggplants are grown in seedling box or tray and then transplant to the field. They are suitable for growing in the good drainage and rich organic soil. After sowing, when 3~4 new leaves has grown then the seedlings can be transplanted to the field. After transplanting, the " Continuous Flowering and Fruiting Plant - foliar fertilization method" should be followed:
Planting 1 - Root Forte 110 (Special for Rooting and Germination)
During the transplantation process, care should be taken to avoid damaging the roots. Soil-sown seedlings are more likely to damage the roots than those grown in seedling trays. After root damage, the recovery and growth will be slower, and it is suitable to use Root Forte 110 to promote recovery and growth.
Root Forte 110, it contains Vitamin B complex, which is a natural stimulant that stimulates the roots, so that root hairs will continue to grow and new leaves will continue to germinate. Besides, appropriate amount of potassium (K) and lignin (natural products of plants) can make the epidermis of plant stems and the vascular bundles that carry water quickly thicken.
Planting 2 - Go Sprout 131 (Special for lateral budding)
Go Sprout 131, the average overall ratio of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K) and calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), boron (B) and molybdenum (Mo) to make the plant lateral buds grow in a balanced way and maintain good metabolism, combined with pruning operations, nutrients are concentrated to achieve good flowering and fruit setting effects after promoting lateral bud growth.
Pre-Flowering stage - Full Energy 100 (Special for full growth period)
Research has shown that the position of the flowers and the number of leaves on the stem of eggplants can be used as indicators of whether the soil nutrient supply is sufficient. When eggplants grow strong and healthy, their leaves are thick and have a deep green color with a hint of purple. The flowers bloom at a distance of 15-20 centimeters below the tip of the stem, and there are 4-5 expanded leaves above them. The flower stems are thick and the pistil is long, indicating good growth.
However, if the flowers grow at a distance of only 5-10 centimeters below the tip of the stem, and there are only 1-2 expanded leaves above them, this indicates insufficient nutrient supply. In such cases, the flowers produced are often short-pistil flowers, which can easily lead to flower and fruit drop. By observing the relative position of the initial flower buds on the stem, timely supplementation of foliar fertilizer can be carried out.
Full Energy 100, the combination of calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), boron (B) and molybdenum (Mo) can stimulate and supply the comprehensive nutrients needed by the flowering stage, so that the flower is prosperous, and the young fruit grows rapidly. Appropriate amount of potassium silicate and nucleotides can make the pedicel thicker, and flowers and fruits are not easy to drop.
Young Fruit stage to Post Enlargement stage.
Use on the first and third week of each month.
(1) Mix Full Energy 100 & Go Growing 370 and dilute 1000 times for spraying leaves.
Go Growing 370, it contains high nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) which can make vegetables and young fruits grow fast and increase in yield and quality. Besides, high level of calcium with appropriate amount of nitrate nitrogen (N), magnesium (Mg), boron (B) and molybdenum (Mo) can improve the young fruits and vegetables grow faster and bigger.
Full Energy 100 (Special for full growth period)
1. Increase in production
2. Promote more flowering and fruiting
3. Flowers and fruits are not easy to drop
4. Improve the tolerance to the environment
5. Strengthen root development
Go Growing 370 (Special for Growing, High in Nitrogen)
1. Enhance nutrient absorption
2. Mesophyll thickens and grows rapidly
3. Young fruits are expansion rapidly
4. Increase in production.
Use on the fourth week of each month.
(2) Mix Go Beauty 380 (dilute 2000 times) and Ca Strong 801 (dilute 1000 times) for spraying leaves.
Go Beauty 380, it contains appropriate amounts of manganese (Mn), magnesium (Mg) and iron (Fe) can provide the necessary nutrients for fruit anthocyanin and carotenoids synthesis. Besides, calcium (Ca) and molybdenum (Mo) can supply nutrients for fruits to prevent fruits cracking.
Ca Strong 801, it contains appropriate amounts of nutrients and elements, silicon (Si) and sugar can enhance plant water retention; betaine can regulate cell walls and prevent dehydration. Furthermore, appropriate amount of magnesium (Mg), boron (B) and molybdenum (Mo) can promote nutrient absorption and make flower buds continue to differentiation for the next flowing stage.
Go Beauty 380 (Special for Color Enhancement)
1. Enhance the fruit coloration
2. Enhance nutrient absorption
3. Encourage anthocyanin and carotenoids synthesis
4. Increase the rate of photosynthesis
5. At expansion period prevent fruits cracking and drop.
Ca Strong 801 (Special for Summer and Water Retention)
1. Improve the tolerance to the environment
2. Improved water retention
3. Enhance nutrient uptake
4. Promote new roots growth and flower buds differentiation
5. Delaying crops aging
6. Increase in production
Continuous flowering and fruiting stage: Use according to the order of (1)-(1)-(2).
The fruiting period of eggplants is quite long, up to 4 to 6 months, and during this time it requires continuous fertilization. There are about 2 to 3 cycles (one cycle = peak production period + interval period) during the entire period from flowering to fruiting. After the peak production period, there is a less productive interval period before entering the next peak production period. If the eggplants are fertilized adequately during the fruiting period, the fluctuation of the cycles will be less pronounced, and the yield can be significantly increased.
